HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
Thursday, May 27, 2021
Did you know that stained glass windows were used in place of words during a time when many people couldn't read?
One of our Fascinating Friday classes focused on the history of stained glass windows and how they were created. The students were given the option to make one themselves. Here's a picture of a Village student's beautiful window.

April Activities
SAIL students have been busy this month. We had Mrs. McColl (from Village) as a guest speaker during our Fascinating Friday class. She talked about all things pertaining to photography. A Great Falls student was inspired to take a picture of this majestic tree in his backyard.
A Narragansett student has been working hard on a Passion Project comparing the weight of an owl on other planets. Check out the awesome video.

Pi Day
Pi Day was March 14th. SAIL explored many Pi activities. Pi is an irrational number that never repeats and never ends.
Great Falls students made pies for Pi Day. They look yummy!
A Village student was inspired by a SAIL Curiosity Page video on building card towers. Building a solid base and distributing the weight of the cards can lead to many levels in a tower.

Virtual Field Trip to Ice Castles Across the World
SAIL took a virtual field trip to ice castles from around the world. We stopped in China, Alberta, Finland, Colorado, and New Hampshire. Did you know there is such a thing as ice farming? It was freeze-tastic!
