 Do you think parentheses have power?  5th Graders experimented with parentheses to answer this question.  




Some 5th-grade literacy groups explored figurative language and applied it to SUMMER, painted by Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

4th-grade literacy groups compiled personal examples of acts of bravery.  They first had to define what being brave meant and then made connections between two short stories.  


Venn Diagrams were used to compare and contrast characters in another short story, THANK YOU, M'AM.


4th-grade math students started a STEM unit on the Saco Heath Preserve.  They are applying standard algorithms in addition/subtraction hiking word problems.
