4th Grade ELA Clay Animals

After reading The Water-Horse of Barra, SAIL created their own magical animals out of clay.  Their creative writing pieces described what magical powers their animals had.

4th Grade ELA Comparing/Contrasting Texts

We created a Venn Diagram comparing/contrasting main characters in two texts (Uncle Jed's Barbershop and Richard Wright and the Library Card) with students from Mrs. Smith's and Mrs. Grady's rooms.

5th Grade ELA Sand Art Dream Animals

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!

Did you know that there are 18 different languages spoken within our school community?  SAIL and ESOL are teaming up to create an interactive bulletin board.  SAIL friends used a program called flipgrid.  SAIL videotaped  friends saying "hello/welcome" in different languages.  QR codes will be created and displayed on the boards.

Viewers can...

📲Use your phone/IPAD to scan code.
🙂Open flipgrid.com when you scan code.
💻Watch the short video.

COMING SOON. . . Village will add to the Civil Rights Team's bulletin board by the gym.  We will add to the Civil Rights Team's board at Great Falls.  It's next to the Tech/SAIL room, by the library.  Narragansett will have a poster display.

Enjoy!
